You can now hold back funds from owner payments by tracking a work order estimate — without changing the property reserve amount.

Track a Work Order Estimate

An estimate must be recorded on a work order for those funds to be held back from owner payments. Only users with permission to enter bills can record estimates on work orders.

Instructions

  1. 1Open a work order and click Actions at the top
  2. 2Select Track Estimate
  3. 3Enter the estimate requested and received dates and the amount
  4. 4Click Save — an "Estimate Created" line item is recorded in the Actions Log

Tips

  • Add the "Estimate Amount" and "Last Billed On" columns to the Work Order report to confirm all necessary funds are held back
  • Add the "Work Order Estimates" column to the Trust Account Balance report for an accurate picture of your trust operating account balances
